We are looking for an experienced, committed and enthusiastic full time Teaching Assistant at Eaton Primary School, commencing 3 January 2024 or sooner.

Experience of working with pupils with a Special Educational Need across the primary range is required.

This position will be to support within the classroom and to work with individuals or groups of pupils who may/may not have additional needs.


Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths
  • Have previous experience of working with EYFS/ KS1 children in a school setting
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Show the ability to work under the direction of the teacher, but are also able to use their own initiative to support learning
  • Be flexible in their role to support the changing needs of a school
  • Be an individual who is
    committed to and passionate about high quality teaching.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish a positive relationship with children, parents and staff
  • Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the the primary curriculum
  • Be able to remain
    calm and adaptable to the needs of different children.
  • Ensure school is a
    safe environment for children, staff and others.

Desirable

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 teaching assistant qualification
  • First aid training
