Security Officer

REPORTING TO:
Shared Service Manager

LOCATION:
Arena Shopping Park, Coventry, CV6 6LN

CONTRACT:
Fulltime Permanent

HOURS:
42 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERN:
Rotating shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, days and nights**

PAY RATE:
£11.00 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This is a permanent contract. Door Supervisor licences required. Arena Shopping Park is an indoor and outdoor shopping centre housing over 30 retail shops and restaurants.

We are looking to appoint a security officer to complete our team and help maintain a safe and secure shopping environment.

The customer experience should be at the heart of everything you do.

Person Specification:

SIA Door Supervisor licence essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management
Smart and wellgroomed
High level of attention to detail
Ability to take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Conflict management aware
Telephone skills
Familiar with patrolling and monitoring from a loss prevention aspect
Confident in complying with Health & Safety and fire prevention procedures
Ability to adapt to changing situations
Proactive attitude

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Gladly interact with all visitors/tenants within the shopping centre, delivering first class customer focused service
Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre
Ensuring all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures
Liaising with site control room proactively reacting to incidents
Ensuring any unsecure areas of the site are reported immediately
Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies
Monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals, logging, and reporting incidents in line with site/company polices
Maintain vigilance and highlight unauthorised access by banned individuals
Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to
Ensure all events/incidents are recorded in the DOB book correctly
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events
Complete all training requirements as requested by line manager
