Would you like to be the welcoming face of our friendly team of dedicated professionals who care for a mixture of cancer patients receiving treatment in our day unit at the RUH?


We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic colleague to join our growing team, soon to be moving into our impressive, purpose built Dyson centre.


You will work alongside other administrative and clinical staff on tasks such, booking patients electronically, supporting the nursing staff and the wider multi-disciplinary teams, answering phone calls and taking messages.


To work as part of a team of administrators to provide full and comprehensive support within Chemotherapy / William Budd Day Care, to include greeting patients/carers into the unit.


To provide a complete administrative / clerical service including word processing, filing, audio typing, photocopying and the composition of letters.

To work as part of a team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of Chemotherapy / Day Care services.


To liaise with Nurses, Doctors and other members of the multi - disciplinary team including Inpatient & Outpatient Bookings teams to provide a quality service for the patients.

Arranging patient transport when appropriate.

Order, collect and track Medical notes for patients attending Chemotherapy / Day Care.


Book appointments in Millennium and Aria under the guidance / direction of the Chemotherapy / Day Care Nurses maximizing hospital services and ensuring that patients are not having to make unnecessary trips to the Hospital.


To provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone inquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using own judgement to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.

To arrange patient appointments when necessary as directed by nursing staff.
