Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers
- Help patients with mobility and exercise routines
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist in the implementation of patient care plans
Experience:
- Previous experience as a healthcare assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures is a plus not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
£8.00-£12.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 10 per week
