About the role:
Strathbungo is a versatile and exciting place to work where no two days are the same.
Value based communication is at the heart of everything we do and we tailor our support to meet the needs of the six individuals who live in their own homes.
As part of our team, you will provide one to one support to adults with various complex needs and who do not always communicate through speech.
It is crucial to build relationships through trust. This is not without its challenges but it's safe to say that the role is hugely rewarding.We are looking to recruit Support Practitioners on a
Part Time (21 hours) and
Full Time (35 hours) basis. The shifts comprise a mix of early shifts , late shifts and a quota of sleep over duties.
About you:
We are looking for individuals who are sensitive to people's needs and proactive in supporting people to lead active lives.
You will have a good understanding of the need to support people to stay healthy and safe, while being comfortable at managing risk accordingly.
You will use the best of your personality and skills every day.From supporting people to enjoy their favourite activities to enabling people to live independently, you will make a real difference.
This role could be for your if:
- You have a great work ethic and can work using your own initiative
- You are enthusiastic about helping people we support achieve their goals in life
- You have excellent communication skills
- You are professional and can deal with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner
- You are patient and understanding
- You are eager to learn and develop your skills in any training provided
- You have a good knowledge of services Sense Scotland provide
