We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic housekeeper to join the Neuroradiology team in West Wing, John Radcliffe hospital.

This is a new post created to support the Neuroradiology multidisciplinary team with ordering and stock management and maintaining general environment of the department.

The role is advertised fulltime 37.5 hours a week Monday-Friday.


The post holder will be responsible for supporting the housekeeping requirements of the Neuroradiology Department including stock ordering and control, audit responsibilities, communicating effectively with estates, facilities, stores and supplies and working with the nursing team to support with infection prevention control measures.

Neuroradiology department is located in the West Wing in John Radcliffe Hospital.


Responsibilities include:

Co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the ward area, ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Supporting the ward teams to carry out their job whilst having the right equipment and stock in place.
To liaise with Senior staff about new instruments and assist in arranging with companies to bring in samples.

To utilise all resources efficiently and effectively maintaining stock levels for disposables through reporting, ordering and receiving items according to Local and Trust policy.

Ensuring the security of all stock, monitoring stock levels and reordering on a top up basis. Ensure any all essential and non-medical equipment is in a clean condition and available for use.

Reports any damages or hazards that are present in the clinical area, i.e., burnt out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken fixtures.

To ensure that all equipment used is fit for purpose and report any damaged or out of date PAT tested machinery to Clinical Engineering.

Check that all temperature recording has been completed as required on a daily basis and escalate appropriately.
Liaise with Linen Services to ensure required amount of linen is delivered to the department on a daily basis.
