The deputy trust lead advanced clinical practitioner for education, supervision and assessment will support the trust lead ACP in the development and support of advanced clinical practitioner roles across the organisation.


Focussing on the training of ACPs they will provide educational leadership and support for trainees their supervisors and managers and where necessary offer support for the medical associate professions teams across the organisation.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment of trainee ACPs their education, supervision, assessment and the operational oversight of ACP training.


They will support and play a key role in the development of advanced practice training, supervision and assessment at a local, trust and regional level, working with partners across the ACP training pathway including higher education institutes, commissioning teams and other employers to ensure ACP trainees receive appropriate education and supervision.


The post holder will keep oversight of the assessment processes of trainee ACPs in partnership with the HEIs and specialties to ensure robust governance and assurance.

The post holder will be a qualified ACP.
