Job Description:

What you will be doing

This role reports into the HR Business Partners for Global Media and provides support to the Talent Advisor and HR Director.

The purpose of this role is to provide timely and proactive support to the HR team along with our employee population on the various HR priorities and annual/regular employee life cycle events, enabling them to retain and develop their talent.

The HR Advisor is a varied and busy role that requires flexibility to manage coordination tasks and advisory duties.

Acting as the point of contact for managers, employees and HR team members, you will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the HR Business Partners and Talent Partner to provide front-line support to managers on all their people priorities.

The difference you will make:

  • Advising managers and employees on disciplinary, grievances and performance management. Support or lead on formal ER processes (depending on the level of risk).
  • With the support of the HR centres of excellence, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle from recruitment, inductions, probation, annual performance reviews, and the exit process including exit interviews and analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate employee data and utilising Workday and other Business Information platforms to create annual KPI data for the HR department, looking at turnover, leavers, absence and recruitment to inform people decisions.
  • Assisting with annual processes such as Reward (bonus and salary review), promotions and performance reviews.
  • Supporting and directing our in-house recruiters, keeping oversight and tracking of open roles and coordinating the hire process for successful applicants via the recruiters and HR Operations teams, to ensure accuracy in offers and contracts and that this is reflected in Workday.

What you will bring:

  • Experience of providing HR advice and guidance within a fastpaced organisation.
  • Experience of managing a variety of stakeholder relationships (including senior level).
  • Ability to coach and support managers.
  • Ability to take full ownership of tasks and activities, being able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Some experience of ER case management or ER knowledge, in particular PIPs.
  • Experience with Workday or similar Human Resources Information System's (HRIS).
What else you need to know

This role would suit someone looking to develop into an HR Business Partner, as there is the potential opportunity to support a small team autonomously, to gain experience of the full employee lifecycle.

This is a permanent role. The team is based in our London office but operates under flexible working arrangements.
