Description
Our client is a market leader in their field specializing in wood recycling and processing.

They are looking for a Multi-skilled Engineer to be based out of their Retford, Nottinghamshire site on a 4 day on, 4 day off basis covering 40.25 hours per weekwith a work pattern of 6am to 6pm.

As Multi-skilled Engineer you will be assisting in the wood processing and bailing operation, carrying out preventative, reactive maintenance and fault finding on medium to heavy industrial plant and equipment.

As a Multi-skilled Engineeryou will deliver a consistently high quality and a best in class service which is driven by an understanding of customers' needs and expectations.


Multi-skilled Engineer - Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (and occasional repair) work to the highest technical standard.
Follow predefined procedures and guidelines to ensure continued safe/efficient operation of products.

  • Work with other team members on installation, commissioning and training projects.

Ensure all new equipment is installed to the highest possible standard to provide years of reliable service to our customers.


  • Communicate clearly and accurately with office teams (Customer Service and Helpdesk) in order to effectively contribute to the attainment of the Departments objectives.
  • Develop profitable relationships with customers to ensure the ongoing promotion of the Technical Service Department and product range.
  • Manage and maintain tools, parts and equipment provided by the company in line with agreed procedures and standards.

Multi-skilled Engineer - Required Skills

  • Multi Skilled Engineer or electrical bias technician.
  • 18th edition electrical qualification is desirable for this role.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and complete remedial repair work in line with statutory and legal requirements.
  • Adept at problem solving and flexible in their approach to work.
  • A time served apprentice trained with industrial experience (medium to heavy industrial plant and equipment) with formal qualifications (Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Customer focus approach, able to be flexible, bring strong problemsolving skills and have exceptional time management and organisational skills.
