The Operational HR team, work across all departments within Essex and Kent, supporting and guiding our managers and staff.

Following a period of change with the introduction of a new operating model and structure we are looking for an individual to join the team, this is an exciting opportunity to take up a varied and interesting role providing resourcing and establishment support across either Kent or Essex.

This involves tracking and reviewing the location and roles undertaken by our police officers.

The Establishment Officer will coordinate and maintain records for police officer postings, whilst working with a Central HR Resource Planning team to review and facilitate information and movements of officers across commands including supporting probationer and promotional posting plans and will be the single point of contact for local resourcing information.

This will see the establishment officer working with other HR teams and managers from across the organisation sharing and updating information.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for providing high levels of customer service to internal customers, they will have personal drive to ensure they add value to policing and demonstrate an ability to provide a pro-active approach to problem solving.

Within the role you will build effective working relationships through your interactions. This will see you adapting your style where necessary using excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The primary responsibilities for the role include utilising the SAP system (training will be provided) for the tracking of internal moves and police officer postings, providing management information to various Command meetings and being able to accurately record information and chase for updates.

It is advantageous you have good excel skills to manipulate and track data.

As this is a new role you will have the opportunity to support shaping the processes and practices for the team.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £27,690.00.
