Description

£25,350 annually, time and a half over 39 hours, GL 12 South Gloucestershire, 28 rising to 33 days holiday, Pension, bonus, parking, permanent role.

Due to continued growth this manufacturer in South Gloucestershire has an opportunity for a stores supervisor, goods in supervisor or logisitcs supervisor working for an established and successful manufacturer of special purpose equipment, reporting to the buying and planning dept.

The stores supervisor, goods in supervisor or logisitcs supervisor will liaise with the Production Planner and Engineering Buyer daily to ensure that all materials and sub-contract parts are received and ready for production requirements.

Key Tasks

Supervise 2 team members
Update Goods in and stock on Sage
Check goods in paperwork matches and is correct
Basic inspection of incoming items
Unload deliveries
Locate and put stock in the correct locations
Rolling Stock takes
Attend daily production meetings

In addition you maintain accurate stock levels and rotation as well as putting stock away in the stores and service departments.

A Forklift licence isn't essential for the role but you must be open to training to obtain this.

The stores supervisor, goods in supervisor or logisitcs supervisor should have good problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions, and ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained.

The successful stores supervisor, goods in supervisor or logisitcs supervisor will be able to demonstrate a previous track record of working in stores or production environments with stock and parts experience, be computer literate (SAGE or MRP systems ideal), enjoy project work and be able to communicate well with colleagues.
