We are seeking to recruit a well-organised, adaptable and professional Project Officer to join our Strategy team.

They will work alongside the Strategic Programme Director in supporting and monitoring the delivery of the suite of programmes and projects funded by Strategic Development Funding secured from Church Commissioners.

This will include working with the project leads as first point of contact for day-to-day project related queries, leading the preparatory work for the annual project reviews and attending meetings with project representatives as required.

They will be responsible for the monitoring and review of the agreed outputs and outcomes for each SDF project, collecting, collating and analysing metrics, carrying out trend analysis and preparing monitoring reports in relation to the agreed outcomes and outputs.


Although experience of working within the Church of England is not required, the post holder should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Church.


The role is based at St John's House, The Rock, Bury BL9 0ND (with hybrid working available) and some travel throughout the diocese.
