College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / Medical School / Medical Education

Open Ended Contract - Permanent: Full Time - 35 Hours per Week


The post holder will have excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills and a working knowledge of the higher education sector.

They will be self-motivated and be able to manage multiple competing demands and deadlines. An ability to use initiative and be proactive is essential.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience in a customer-centred environment with the ability to support students in a sensitive and diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to exercise initiative appropriately and to take decisions while working within an agreed framework.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, in writing and in person, exercising discretion and diplomacy, respect and confidentiality and ability to interact effectively and maintain good staff relationships at all levels within and outwith the University.
  • Ideally, previous experience in higher education in a student facing role, with knowledge of issues and policies in a higher education context.
