About the role
Balfour Beatty are recruiting for a Design Coordinator to work at a high security site close to Huntingdon. This is a £200m+ new build RC frame structure and includes extensive fitout works with complex MEP services. We are looking for someone with experience of delivering the design of a similar sized project.
What you'll be doing
- Liaise with all statutory bodies/authorities as required such as town planning, building control and services e.g. gas and water
- Lead the coordination and production of design data, bid deliverables, reports and documentation essential to the project and contractual requirements and report progress against the design deliverables programme
- Support the implementation of the BIM CSUK protocols, including teamwork and collaboration and the management and sharing of data relating to BIM models
- Collaborate on the scopes definition for subcontractors in respect of their design responsibilities
- Proactively contribute to the Risk and Value Management process
Who we're looking for Skills & Expereince**:
Essential
- This role requires an individual with some experience in delivering design services within a Project Delivery environment and successfully implementing design strategies as well as relevant project experience.
- Experience working within the delivery team of a similar sized project.
- Some experience to support deliver design services in a timely manner with a customer and business sector specific focus.
- Good working knowledge of BIM is required.
- Excellent IT Skills relevant to the Business Stream are desirable and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Numeracy and bid/report writing.
- Current high level security clearance or willing to complete vetting procedures
Desirable
- Relevant Professional membership with an appropriate institute, e.g. RIBA, BIBSE, IET, aligned to the workstream is recommended.
- A valid CSCS card
