About the role
Balfour Beatty are recruiting for a Design Coordinator to work at a high security site close to Huntingdon. This is a £200m+ new build RC frame structure and includes extensive fitout works with complex MEP services. We are looking for someone with experience of delivering the design of a similar sized project.

What you'll be doing

Liaise with all statutory bodies/authorities as required such as town planning, building control and services e.g. gas and water
Lead the coordination and production of design data, bid deliverables, reports and documentation essential to the project and contractual requirements and report progress against the design deliverables programme
Support the implementation of the BIM CSUK protocols, including teamwork and collaboration and the management and sharing of data relating to BIM models
Collaborate on the scopes definition for subcontractors in respect of their design responsibilities
Proactively contribute to the Risk and Value Management process

Who we're looking for Skills & Expereince**:

Essential

This role requires an individual with some experience in delivering design services within a Project Delivery environment and successfully implementing design strategies as well as relevant project experience.
Experience working within the delivery team of a similar sized project.
Some experience to support deliver design services in a timely manner with a customer and business sector specific focus.
Good working knowledge of BIM is required.
Excellent IT Skills relevant to the Business Stream are desirable and Microsoft Office is essential.
Numeracy and bid/report writing.
Current high level security clearance or willing to complete vetting procedures

Desirable

Relevant Professional membership with an appropriate institute, e.g. RIBA, BIBSE, IET, aligned to the workstream is recommended.
A valid CSCS card
