Salary - £23,400 - £29,200 (+ £750 Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience.

Contract type - Fixed Term - 2 Years

Working hours - Full Time

About the role


We are currently recruiting for a Full time Support Worker in the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service based on a 37-hour fixed term, 2-year contract.


This role is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Support Service which provides support to and manages Places of Safety properties.


You will provide a rapid responsive support service with a high quality of customer care, in line with the agreed values and aims of the service.

You will produce person centred support plans and securing practical/emotional and psychological support.

You will develop a specialism around working with survivors who have additional vulnerabilities or complex needs. This will include carrying out risk assessments to maximise successful outcomes for customers.

As this role is working in a women's refuge, we will only be able to accept female applicants.

This role will also include being involved on the out of hours on-call rota. (Once in a 5 week pattern)


Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you
You will have good knowledge of domestic abuse legislation and support.

You will hold significant experience of supporting vulnerable people with complex needs.

You will have strong organisation and administration skills.

You will require the ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, courtesy, tact and diplomacy.
