We are recruiting for a Full Time Support Workers (37.5 hours) to support 6 gentleman who share a large bungalow in a nice quiet estate in the Drumoyne/Govan area of Glasgow.

Full UK drivers licence is also preferred.

The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities and physical disabilities but this hasn't stopped them from enjoying life They enjoy lots of activities, including going out for walks, catching up with friends, listening to music, aromatherapy and keeping in touch with their families.

They have a large shared garden which they love to use in the summer for events.

However, they're always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes.

Physically the role can be demanding. There is also the expectation of being able to administer medication, however full training will be provided. This is a medically complex service so you will need to be able to communicate with health professionals.

Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends and possibly waking nights.

Hours are usually 2 x 14 hour and 1 x 9 hour shift per week, over 7 days on a rota basis**Experience of working in Social Care is desirable but training will be provided.

An ability to cope with brain acquired behaviours and language would be an advantage.
