Now is an exciting time to join the university, following the recent arrival of our new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wendy Larner who took up her position in September 2023.

The first woman in the history of Cardiff University to hold this position, Professor Larner's leadership marks the start of a new phase of strategic development for the University.

We are now seeking to appoint an inspirational leader to the role of Chief Operating Officer and University Secretary.

With responsibility for the efficient and effective running of professional services activities, and overseeing a diverse remit, the role holder will ensure that the services are positioned to effectively support the development and delivery of the institutional strategy.

As a key member of the University's Executive Board, the role supports the Vice-Chancellor in the leadership and effective operation of the University, and in the development and delivery of University strategy.
