Description

Our client is looking for a Proving Test Technician to join a small team on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of being extended, based in Peterborough.

The main function of a Proving Test Technician is to inspect, and test processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications, on the job training in provided.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Approve the discarding or rejection of products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
Review inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
Notify client of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Fault finding.
Servicing of plant machinery to maintain fleet.
Creation of pipework to fit machine installations.

About you:
You will have a strong technical background, and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Maintenance, or equivalent. Quick thinking, problem solver, who can communicate effectively across all levels. Fine attention to detail, with excellent record keeping. Happyto learn new tasks, and pass knowledge on, keen to muck in and help out.

Job Title - Development and Research Engineer

Location - Peterborough - onsite

Type - 12-month Contract, with the possibility of being extended

Rate - £16ph PAYE
