Leader Education is currently recruiting for multiple
_Behaviour Support Workers_ for a
_SEMH_specialist school in
_Pontefract_.


The job:


  • Provide support to students with _SEMH_ needs in a small group or 11 setting
  • Understand and follow individual education and health care plans
  • To take direction and assist the class teacher
  • Support students in managing and regulating their feelings
  • Ensure the best quality of education for each pupil
  • Provide consistency and stability for pupils
  • Engage with the students throughout their learning whilst in the classroom
  • Create and maintain supportive, safe, and calming relationships with the students
  • Liaising with SENCO and the designated safeguarding lead to promote positive outcomes.

You:


  • Have experience of working with children/students with _SEMH _needs
  • Are patient, sensitive and compassionate
  • Are understanding and have empathy
  • Have a passion for teaching and learning
  • Ability to make learning enjoyable and fun
  • Ideally Team Teach trained
  • Are motivated and enthusiastic
  • Have great communication skills
  • Have a fun but firm presence.
