Description:

A large family owned business are looking for an Environmental Compliance Officer to travel across their many sites in the UK to ensure that the correct licences and permits are in place and up to date.

Having environmental permitting experience is necessary as well as knowledge around the current legislation.

Location:
Glasgow, Giffnock, Paisley, Cumbernauld, Bishopbriggs, Duntocher, Barrhead, Motherwell, East Kilbride.

Package:
£40,000 - £45,000 p.a. + Benefits

Environmental Compliance Officer, Environmental Consultant, Environmental Officer, Permitting Officer.

The role

Reporting into the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will be required to travel frequently to the company sites with the occasional need to stay overnight.

You will have the following responsibilities.

Ensure that Environmental permits are in place and up to date.
Create procedures and policies against current legislation.
Identify where the company can improve on environmental risk and mitigation.
Ensure that the other departments are aware of their environmental objectives and know how to meet them.
Achieve environmental compliance by creating a plan.

The Person

Educated with formal qualifications would be preferable but would consider someone who holds NEBOSH who has desirable experience to go with it.
