1-year Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Cognus is commissioned by London Borough of Sutton to provide education services to mainstream schools and specialist education providers in Sutton.

Wholly owned by the local authority, we deliver a wide range of services to deliver excellent practice in schools and settings that improves the lives of children, young people, and families.

We are looking for a professional and experienced individual who is passionate about the inclusion of children and young people in education and society.

This post is currently for a fixed period, 1 year maternity coverage, and is an excellent opportunity for professionals wishing to gain broad experience within the education sector and across the multi-agency arena.

This role will work closely with multi-agency partners, that include families, schools, other professionals, as well as other Cognus teams.

You must be confident and effective communicator and be comfortable working through issues in partnership with others.

Whilst we continue to work in line with legislation and best practice, we are ambitious about developing the local area inclusion agenda and are looking for an individual who is able to think creatively and flexibility about delivering duties, while maintaining a focus on inclusive practice and the best outcomes for the children, young people and families that we support.

The Inclusion Coordinator will be expected to be a role model for the professional behaviours outlined in the company Code of Conduct and to demonstrate Cognus' Mission and Values.
