Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate person who has an interest to join our team as a Medical Examiner Officer.

The Medical Examiner (ME) role was introduced in England and Wales in April 2019.

A Medical Examiner is an independent senior doctor whose role is to verify clinical information on medical certificates of cause of death (MCCDs) and ensure that the right referrals are made to the coroner for further investigation.

Medical Examiners are supported by Medical Examiner Officers (MEO) who are the point of contact and source of advice for relatives of deceased patients, healthcare professionals, coroner and registration services.

Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to expand the existing Medical Examiner Service and are keen to appoint a Band 6 Deputy Lead Medical Examiner Officer.
