The Business Performance Lead role is based within our Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) business area. The SSE mission is to deliver submarine programme and engineering excellence through enterprise collaboration, innovation and analytics.
We provide submarine programme and engineering support to the Royal Navy Submarine Fleet, covering in-service submarines, and the next generation of future submarines.
For more than a century, Babcock, the Aerospace and Defence Company, has been trusted to deliver bespoke, highly-skilled engineering services.

The role
The difference our new Business Performance Lead will make
As a Business Performance Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will play a key role in the continuous development of performance analysis and reporting of a growing and internationally recognised business.
Day to day, you'll undertake systematic analysis of performance management data across business areas and processes using best practice data analysis techniques and identify opportunities for improving management information, establishing key performance indicators and benchmarks.

Essential experience
- Demonstrable experience in complex data analysis across a range of business areas/functions
- Expertise in analysing and reporting management information and performance indicators
- Ability to work with managers and experts from a wide range of disciplines and from all levels of the business including executives
- Experience in defining data requirements and developing new business processes and reports to meet identified performance management needs
- Highly numerate individual, who is able to analyse and present complex data and produce high quality reports for a range of audiences.
- Prior experience of leading improvement initiatives and coaching others in performance data analysis techniques
- Experience of working in a project delivery organisation and with a firm understanding of project controls techniques
