Main duties of the job:

This dynamic role involves the planning and coordination of medical staff in the General and Colorectal Surgery directorate. This will include rota management, participation in recruitment and selection, training,
performance management and day to day management of all medical workforce rotas. This role will lead on strengthening and developing further
administrative practice within the department.

  • Rota coordination experience, in a multidisciplinary team and of multiple staff groups

  • Proven evidence of improving patient experience
  • Knowledgeable of recruitment processes
  • Knowledge of TRAC

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and influence
  • Strong working knowledge and proficient in the use of Microsoft package s, in particular Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritise and to work to deadlines
  • Ability to motivate self, staff and improve individuals and team performance
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with multi professional teams
  • Able to manage stressful situations and challenge decisions to ensure that patient needs are met.
  • Being well organised with practical, log and analytical approach to work.
  • Able to handle multiple streams of communication effectively, whilst ensure all are dealt within appropriate timeframes
