Zachary Daniels are delighted to be partnering with one of our retail clients on their search for a Payroll Advisor.

This role will ensure the accurate and timely processing of three different pay runs (weekly, 4-weekly and monthly).


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Payroll team to process the Payroll for around 18,000 colleagues, in a very busy, highvolume environment
  • Supporting different payroll processes for weekly pay, 4 weekly pay and monthly pay.
  • Prepare and input data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information and adherence to deadlines
  • Answer colleague queries effectively and efficiently, working alongside the line managers to ensure a timely resolution
  • Cover and support with a wide range of Payroll queries and processes, including but not limited to:
  • Absence
  • SSP/SMP/SPP
  • Statutory requirements (i.e. Tax and NI)
  • Auto enrolment
  • Be involved in process improvements that will drive cost and/or time savings
  • Communicate with and support all areas and levels of the business.
  • Familiar with payroll data entry & competent with spreadsheets, a knowledge of Vlook ups would be an advantage
  • Experience with different Payroll software, i.e. Frontier, SAP, Oracle, preferably in a Retail and/or highvolume Payroll
  • Exposure to KRONOS T&A system would be advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and decisionmaking skills
  • High standard of numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Business partner and stakeholder management experience
  • At least two years' experience in a Payroll environment
Salary c£28,000
