After 14 years, our amazing business manager, has decided to hang up her school keys and head for an enjoyable and much deserved retirement.

We are a one form entry primary school situated in a close knit community. First and foremost we are committed to providing the best school experience that we can. We very much consider ourselves a school family - a place where everybody matters.


We are therefore searching for somebody who will be able to take an enthusiastic strategic lead in the day-to-day management of the school.

The role includes specific responsibility for developing and actioning effective and efficient financial, administrative, human resource, health and safety and premises functions.

A commitment to the innovative use of technology to enhance productivity is needed so we can ensure a calm and strategic school office.

The post is a permanent, Grade 8 (£33,945to £ 38,223), working 37 hours per week over 5 days Monday to Friday
- example of day 8.15am - 4.15pm with 35 minutes for lunch. Ideally this will be a full year role and not term time - this is negotiable. Holidays must be taken during the school holiday period.

Essential Qualifications

5 GCSEs grade A-C or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications

School Business Manager specific qualification i.e. DSBM, CSBM or willingness to undertake

Essential Experience

Managing finance preferably within a school setting or similar

Experience of developing effective administrative systems and procedures

Able to deliver services and systems applicable to effective management

Experience of managing staff

Communication with a wide range of people in a professional capacity

Desirable Experience

Experience of financial reconciliation

HR Experience

Experience of is preferred and would be advantageous.
