About The Role:


Please note that this vacancy is for 18.5 hours per week with a salary of £15,589 up to £17,096 pro rata per annum


As a Lecturer of Business at Folkestone College you will teach, train and assess students in a variety of learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.

This role will be focused on the T Level in Business and Administration with the pathway of Leadership and Management in The EDGE School of Creative and Business, a department of Folkestone College.

There will be opportunities to also teach our level 2 Business course which is part of Folkestone Junior College.

Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and to lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme.


We have recently received Outstanding in every category from Ofsted and a strength of our department is our links with local businesses and charities.

The lecturing role will include developing students opportunities for social action, work experience and interaction with local companies and business people to help them gain the knowledge, experience and professional standards T-Levels focus on.


We pride ourselves in the support we can give those who are new to teaching, with ongoing training and coaching through our Teacher Academy.

Do you have the confidence and communication skills, ability and drive to reach out and engage with these leaders of local business and community and develop opportunities for our students?


Focusing on the pathway of Business Leadership and Management in Folkestone provides a wealth of local business talent, leaders and Entrepreneurs the students can benefit from meeting and learning about.


Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered training in the workplace although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant.

You must have a positive outlook, be empathetic towards learners and have strong class management skills.
