Description

The Production department is looking for a trainee knitter / machine operative to join their team to work on a 3 shift rota basis (initial training may be given on days).

Reporting directly to a Shift Supervisor the role will produce products in line with customer requirements, ensuring desired quality and deliveries are met through effective operation of the manufacturing equipment, in a safe manner, whilst minimising waste.

Key responsibilities include;

Working in a safe manner, following required procedures with correct use of PPE, ensuring your own safety and safety of your colleagues.
Producing products to the required standards, ensuring all quality checks are completed in line with the quality managements system, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
Completion of all required paperwork in a clear and accurate fashion.
To produce product in order to achieve 100% customer attainment.
Identifying and resolving, where possible issues affecting performance, informing the shift supervisor where applicable.
Maintaining good housekeeping and general hygiene at all times.
Minimising any spoilage, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Informing supervisor of issues and possible actions where you are unable to resolve.
Working as part of a team, supporting other members in all activities to achieve a positive outcome in any task.
