The post-holder will support the Building Safety Manager in developing building safety cases and reports.

A leading Housing Association, role is based in North London.

Description

The key responsibilities:

Provide Support to the Building Safety Manager for the development of building safety cases for all identified high risk buildings within the scope of the Building Safety Act.
Support the Building Safety Manager to ensure that all identified high risk buildings are managed and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act.
Work closely with Building Safety Managers and colleagues in Repairs, Building Services, Estates, Communications, Resident Services and Asset Management to develop plans for the delivery of fire safety work and services in high risk buildings, or interimmeasures as required.
Adhere to and maintain sufficient policies and procedures in liaison with other relevant managers as to ensure compliance with its statutory and regulatory duties and Health and Safety best practice in maintaining and managing its tall buildings.

Profile

At least 35 years' experience of working in a compliance, health and safety

- related or a housing related service for residential buildings.

Previous experience of working within social housing or similar.
Substantial experience and knowledge of the current housingrelated legislation of compliance work streams, e.g. fire safety, gas safety, asbestos, electrical
An understanding of working in a Health & Safety environment with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
Ability to provide clear and concise reports
Strong project management skills
Working towards or wiling to join, Membership of a relevant body (e.g. IOSH, RICS,CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE, IFSM)
