Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a business services organisation based in Kent. They are currently recruiting for a Group Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller this is a key role that will get involved in all aspectsof the Group finances both in the UK and internationally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some exposure within a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities of the Group Accountant will include:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts
  • Manage the weekly cash flow forecasting process and coordinate cash balances including any cash pooling arrangements and intraGroup transfers
  • Manage annual Group audit as main contact with external auditors
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for all UKbased Group entities
  • Coordinate annual tax return preparation and calculation of QIPs
  • Undertake monthly HO recharges and intercompany reconciliations
  • Support territory finance teams with transfer pricing, technical and taxation advice
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and development of Finance Team and tasks.
The successful Group Accountant will have the following attributes:

  • Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience
  • Experience of consolidation of multiple entities including those in different currencies
  • Works effectively under pressure and take responsibility for delivering to timescales
  • Attention to detail and ability to drill down on numbers
