Description

Carry out all tooling breakdowns in a timely manner.
Maintaining of forming, bending and cutting machine tooling
Maintenance of tooling and fixtures for welding and assembly
Problem solving of issues on production tooling, fixtures and jigs
Working with production to optimise settings on tooling and machines
Tooling/ fixturing improvements
Keep up to date spares inventory.
Effectively identify day to day tooling issues and implement corrective action where required.
Ensures all tooling is safe and production ready at the time returned for production use, following correct preventative maintenance (PM) process.
Follow up repair work by seeking feedback from the production and quality departments and completing a record of the work undertaken.

Profile

TIG and MIG welding capabilities.
An understanding of CNC programming for production and toolroom machines
Good knowledge of engineering materials. Stainless Steel, alloys etc.
Understanding of CMM reports.
Knowledge of 5S methodology
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
Mechanical engineering
Experience in material flow
Previous experience in a maintenance role
