Description

  • Carry out all tooling breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining of forming, bending and cutting machine tooling
  • Maintenance of tooling and fixtures for welding and assembly
  • Problem solving of issues on production tooling, fixtures and jigs
  • Working with production to optimise settings on tooling and machines
  • Tooling/ fixturing improvements
  • Keep up to date spares inventory.
  • Effectively identify day to day tooling issues and implement corrective action where required.
  • Ensures all tooling is safe and production ready at the time returned for production use, following correct preventative maintenance (PM) process.
  • Follow up repair work by seeking feedback from the production and quality departments and completing a record of the work undertaken.

Profile

  • TIG and MIG welding capabilities.
  • An understanding of CNC programming for production and toolroom machines
  • Good knowledge of engineering materials. Stainless Steel, alloys etc.
  • Understanding of CMM reports.
  • Knowledge of 5S methodology
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Experience in material flow
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role
