As a Barclays Service Designer, you will join the Acquisition and Engagement team who are responsible for our Customer Strategy.
You will ensure the right suite of products are provided and delivered in the right way, and at the right time, to help clients manage, control, keep safe and grow their business.
As a Service Designer, you will work out the best way to let users interact with services, in terms of overall flow, with that understanding you will design journeys that match and meet the user's informational and functional needs.

What will you be doing?
- Being responsible for managing cross functional teams of designers to ensure that the highest priority and design work is completed to an exceptionally high standard
- Ensuring consistency in approach, design, and output between this specific area and all other areas of the digital experience
- Driving best practice methodology for service, experience and process design within the business
- Championing excellence; being confident in defining and promoting beautiful, useful designs
- Focusing on our customer we need to make sure our colleague and customer experiences delight and bring joy to our users
- Being responsible for defining and driving visionary customer experiences and strategy development that puts Barclays at the pinnacle of customer focused design practices
- Maintaining knowledge of the competitive and regulatory pressures within the banking industry with a good understanding of how competitors differentiate themselves
What we're looking for:
- An inspirational communicator who can present work, negotiate timelines and workloads and input on the business strategy for digital projects and products
- Full working knowledge of UX/UI/Service Design methodologies
- Governance and priortisation skills managing the central Business Banking design and business assurance
- Facilitation skills running workshops and ensuring stakeholders are on board with the process
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience in Service Design
- Experience in agile transformation and priortisation frameworks
- Proficient in design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe)

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
