40 hour Contract

Meadowbrook House have are looking to recruit a motivated individual with strong team leader skills to become the Catering Supervisor, delivering outstanding catering services for the residents within our care.

As a supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring all catering areas are kept to our highest standard while managing the kitchen budgets and responsible for ordering stock.

Job Role:


  • To be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and compliance with Safer Foods, Better Business requirements.
  • To be involved with the preparation, cooking and serving of premade delicious and nutritious hot and cold meals and snacks.
  • Understanding of special dietary requirements, ensuring that the appropriate meals are cooked presented correctly.
  • Working closely with the care staff, Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, Administrator and Apetito, to assist with the planning and management of events at the Home e.g. residents milestone birthday, fetes, open days and presentations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of food supplies, waste, food temperatures and freezer/fridge temperatures as required by Environmental Health, Food Standards Agency, CQC and the Company.
  • Stock take and order provisions, check deliveries and be responsible for stock rotation as required.
  • Manage the kitchen budget, completing weekly and months audits.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a kitchen or catering preferred
  • Ability to complete reports and audits
  • Manage budgets and kitchen staffing
  • NVQ, Diploma or above in Catering
- or willingness to achieve

  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above or willingness to achieve
- £ £12.50 per hour
- £ £15.60 per hour on Weekends
- £ £25.00 per hour on Bank Holidays
