We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead workforce transformation across the North West CYP-IAPT Collaborative.

This role is an excellent opportunity for both experienced CYP mental health professionals/service leads and those looking for career progression in Mental Health strategic leadership.

The role will build on the last decade of CYP MH service transformation across the region with the aims of improving children and young peoples' experience of mental health services, improving outcomes and developing a skilled workforce as recommended in both the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health and the Green Paper


The post holder will take a regional leadership role in overseeing the successful implementation of the CYP MH transformation agenda as well as contributing to regional and national project management and developments of CYP MH workforce issues.

They will chair and oversee the NW CYP-IAPT Collaborative developing a Community of Practice across the region responsible for sustained and high quality implementation of CYP MH training and CYP-IAPT guiding principles.

They will work closely with CYP MH service partners to provide support and challenge regarding high quality implementation of CYP-IAPT principles as well as workforce development needs and strategy.

They will also manage and oversee the annual recruitment process for the CYP MH portfolio of training programmes.


The post holder will work with the Senior Management team in leading on the development, delivery and management of a multi-faceted programme of training (workforce and managers) aimed at transforming participating CYP MH services in the region.


Together with the Senior Management Team, you will enable and ensure that participating services deliver the CYP-IAPT outcomes specified by the Department of Health (DH), and to participate in and lead on aspects of the strategic development of the CYP IAPT programme at a national level.
