Smart Recruit Group are looking for experienced and reliable Support Workers to provide person centred care to clients within local Support Services and Residential homes in Gateshead and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include:


  • Providing personal care and emotional support.
  • Communicating clearly with residents and their families.
  • Light domestic responsibilities.
  • Following care plans and other instructions.
  • Safe moving and handling of service users.
  • Supporting with medication administration.
  • Participation in activities in the home and out in the community.
  • Undertaking shifts on short notice.
It is essential that you meet the following criteria:

  • Have at least 6 months paid experience as a care assistant /support worker or support worker within the last 2 years.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold a valid DBS registered with the online update service or you should be willing to pay for a full DBS Check.
  • Able to provide references details for the last four years employment.
  • You should have excellent communication skills.

Salary:
£11.82-£23.00 per hour
