Smart Recruit Group are looking for experienced and reliable Support Workers to provide person centred care to clients within local Support Services and Residential homes in Gateshead and the surrounding areas.

- full time or part time and for those who can commit to short notice shifts and Ad Hoc as well as in advance. If you want to make a big difference in the lives of those who require daily support, you will be caring, considerate, hardworking and committed to providing the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities include:

Providing personal care and emotional support.
Communicating clearly with residents and their families.
Light domestic responsibilities.
Following care plans and other instructions.
Safe moving and handling of service users.
Supporting with medication administration.
Participation in activities in the home and out in the community.
Undertaking shifts on short notice.

It is essential that you meet the following criteria:

Have at least 6 months paid experience as a care assistant /support worker or support worker within the last 2 years.
Right to work in the UK.
Hold a valid DBS registered with the online update service or you should be willing to pay for a full DBS Check.
Able to provide references details for the last four years employment.
You should have excellent communication skills.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

Salary:
£11.82-£23.00 per hour
