Programme Manager

Overview:


An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client who is a global brand providing digital and data driven solutions across various sectors.

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a large scale IT platform build. Our client have a flexibleapproach to home working but will require 3 days per week in the London HQ.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Plan and design the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action
  • Define the programme's governance arrangements
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate,technical and specialist standards
  • Managing the programme's budget on behalf of the Sponsor, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses
  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams
  • Managing third parties and ensuring quality of delivery
  • Managing communications with all stakeholders
  • Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome
  • Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals to the stakeholders

Essential Skills and Experience:


  • Proven large IT programme delivery experience
  • Ability to assess feasibility and cost benefit of solutions as part of the overall development process
  • Experience in working with members/clients in order to understand requirements to create solutions via people, processes and technology in a time sensitive environment
  • Experienced in a supply chain environment, software or information management
  • Experience of leading and working in project teams
  • Experience in helping to drive and implement business change to improve business' efficiency and effectiveness to better serve the needs of customers
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
  • Good understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties

Contract Details:

- £650 per day

  • Outside IR3 12 month contract (possibility of extension)
  • Hybrid working 3 days per week in London
