Description

Careers Support and Guidance Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team working with:
Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and young people and British care leavers

year old. We want to ensure that the young people we work with have a

sense of feeling cared for and are given the support and advise they need to be

able to make positive choices for themselves as they mature.

Working across Warwickshire you will be working alongside Personal Advisors whom support young people to make a successful transition to independent living.

You will be working directly with young people to achieve their goals in relation to

Education, Employment or Training. In addition to this, you will be working

closely with other agencies to form support plans for young people and

signposting young people to alternative provisions where needed.

The role entails travelling both within Warwickshire and out of county,

therefore regular access to a vehicle will be required.

You will have experience of working with young people and have had relevant

experience within the Careers Advisor field. We have asked for a Level 6 NVQ or

equivalent, however, if you feel you have relevant experience, we encourage you

to apply. We want to ensure we get the right individual for our Young People.

We want someone on the team who is passionate about ensuring Care Leavers are given the same opportunities within the Education, Employment and Training

Field.
