Permanent job opportunity in early 2023 for a skilled French Polisher / Spray Polisher based in Edinburgh.
Travel & Subsistance allowance considered.

Our client based in Edinburgh are looking for an experienced French Polisher to join their established Joinery fit out Company.

Based in the manufacturing area, this position is full time and permanent.

The company are a leaders in their field, producing for example bespoke doors, skirtings, architraves, fixtures and furnishings for high-end refurbishment projects across the city.

The finished products will replicate or compliment the existing fixtures and fittings and the wood - colour matched, so that when fitted looks authentic.

You will be joining a tight group of craftsmen, working for a well known and successful company who are responsible for many high-profile projects.

The company are looking for what could be descibed as a 'Traditional French Polisher', using polish and shellac to finish single items - this is not mass produced, repetative everyday products.

As a French Polisher you will already have the following skills and experience:
A proven background, with a wide experience of spraying/ coating techniques e.g shellac.
Experience finishing bespoke products to a glass finish.
A proactive solution provider, able to contribute in a flexible team environment
Experience of working within a low volume batch environment.

Although the role is 'shop' based, some site experience and the ability to travel are also an advantage.

This is a permanent Polisher / Sprayer position offering excellent working conditions and remuneration.

The working hours are 8am - 4.30pm (3.30pm on a Friday) with overtime readily available through busy times.
