Covent Garden, London


Salary:
Up to £27,600 depending on experience


Hours of Work: 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 18:00 with flexibility required


Are you a dedicated and passionate Student Advisor? Then join us to provide an efficient and specialist advisory service to learners, staff and visitors to City Lit, ensuring excellent customer service and helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond, to enrich lives through learning.


In this role, you will work across a range of responsibilities such as financial support, learning resources and learner registration.

Among others, you will answer enquiries effectively and signpost (where applicable), student queries at all touch points using a range of methods.

You will also provide an advanced level of information and advice to learners about financial support available.


City Lit is London's largest provider of learning for adults, inspiring over 30,000 students a year and offering more than 5,000 courses, online and face-to-face.

Partnering with community organisations across London, we deliver bespoke projects that support individuals and communities.

  • Previous experience of working in a customerfacing role.
  • Respectful, patient, and polite, with the ability to be assertive when required, ensuring escalated queries are handled professionally and confidently.
  • Proven administrative experience.
  • Ability to problem solve and find solutions to complex learner queries without distraction, taking ownership of outcome.
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, Outlook and internet, social media platforms and ideally Google classroom, with the ability to advise student and perform moderate troubleshooting.
