Description
The Pathology directorate is seeking responsible and enthusiastic individuals to work as an Associate Practitioner in the Virology Department. Applicants will need to able to work between 6am and 8pm. Participation in weekend and Bank Holiday sessions may also be required.

Previous applicants need not apply.


Duties will be wide ranging and varied, including dealing with the receipt, preparation, and analysis of diagnostic samples, setting up analysers and stock control.

There is a need for a team work ethic within the Virology laboratory. Duties will be carried out following established Standard Operating Procedures, under the supervision of State Registered Biomedical Scientists. Accuracy of delivery and a fastidious attention to detail is essential. Previous laboratory experience is a distinct advantage.
A comprehensive training program is provided.
