Finance Manager


AJ Chambers is currently working with a PE-Backed Advisory Firm with an excellent opportunity to provide an outsourced finance department to a large client.

They are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to work with their existing team.


You will take full control of two UK based and one European entity reporting to the overseas parent company and have complete management of the finance function.


Your Responsibilities

  • You will manage the complete AP & AR including making/posting payments, invoices, statements etc
  • You will take control of the GL Management including JNL postings (Accruals/Prepayments/Recurring Entries)
  • You will oversee Bank Reconciliations
  • You will control Stock Management (goods inwards/obsolescence etc)
  • You will update supplier/stock pricing
  • You will complete UK VAT Returns Quarterly
  • You will control ROI VAT Returns Bi-Monthly
  • If you know UK/EU Import/Export procedures, it would be an advantage, however, it is not essential
  • You will complete consolidated Monthly Management Accounts
  • You will assist in yearly Audit queries
  • You will assist with client reporting and enquires
  • You must communicate with Franchisees on an adhoc basis
  • You will supervise one junior team member

Your Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice or industry and the ability to undertake both simple and more complex bookkeeping tasks
  • The ability to prepare management accounts for companies and other entities and handle more complex accounting matters
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Organised and methodical
  • Client Focused
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, and other accounting software
  • Experience with Sage 300 would be a benefit but not essential this is the main accounting software used
  • Ability to deal with all levels of personnel

Remuneration and Rewards

  • Base Salary up to £55,000
