We are currently looking to recruit a full-time ProductTechnologist to support our Quality Assurance Team, based at our office andwarehouse in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

We are looking for an agile and proactive Product Technologistwith a positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who can help us nurturethis company culture.

Reportingdirectly to the Quality Assurance and Packaging Manager the Product Technologistis responsible for managing and providing technical expertise to the business:

  • Advising suppliers of technical, construction andamendments required to meet OKA quality and technical standards
  • Assessing and approving samples and producttechnical files (PSS) to ensure products meet quality and legal requirements
  • Reporting potential QC issues with packaging and/or products
  • Reviewing product execution construction, fittings, meansof production, finish, raw material, packaging, assembly instructions,labelling to agreed quality and customer standards
  • Supporting line management to ensure technicaltasks are completed in line with the critical path
  • Supporting Stores and Customer Service Centre byanswering queries within 24hrs
  • Ensuring all CSR information is assessed andentered onto systems accurately and within the required time frame
  • Providing technical information and guidance to colleaguesin the Product Development, Merchandising and Design teams
  • Establishing and maintaining close working relationshipswith key personnel at Suppliers
  • Checking and preparing samples for product selection
  • Updating and working with a PLM system
  • Writing change request forms to be shared with Suppliers tocommunicate running changes to products
  • Writing and sharing supplier corrective action reportsregarding quality and technical issues identified during inbound qualitycontrol checks and following customer returns

ABOUT YOU

  • 5+ yearsexperience in a quality management role
  • Naturallyanalytical person with an interest in understanding how consumer products aremade, work and perform
  • Selfstarter
  • High degreeof accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good verbaland written skills
  • Confidentcommunicator of information to all levels within the Business
  • Administrativeexperience
  • Goodcommercial awareness
  • Excelproficient
  • A creative,problemsolving spirit
