BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Master Data Administrator. This role will be based out of our Hemel Hempstead office. BAM Operate a Flexible working policy.

An integral part of the Finance department, interacting with colleagues in Finance and the wider business.

Reporting to the Master Data Manager and part of a small but high-profile team and with core hours comprising the following pattern, 08:30hrs to 16.45hrs (with 1hour lunch) 5 days per week hours).


Your mission


A critical team member that assists in the coordinated and accurate setup and maintenance of master supplier data across the BAM UK&I Division, including Civil, Construction, Ventures, and Ireland business segments in the core SAP ERP system.

Working closely alongside the master data analyst and colleagues focused on the same master data management for materials and pricing data.

Engage closely with all stakeholders most notably Production, Procurement, IT and Commercial across all the UK&I businesses to ensure the data landscape ensures payments to all suppliers are made promptly and correctly.


  • Set up new vendors in SAP in line with agreed methodology and ensure that these are available to the organisation in line with established SLA's
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to collect appropriate data and resolve queries and expedite the onboarding process
  • Support the business in operating an efficient vendor onboarding process
  • Assist the business and Master Data Manager in the design of new processes and procedures as required.
  • Assist maintaining and cleansing data to ensure accurate and uniform data
  • Responding to general enquiries in a timely manner
  • Assisting with IR35 administration and governance

  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively
  • Build strong partner relationships with both external suppliers and internal customers
  • A broad understanding of modern technology, systems and automation
  • Ability to understand the "big picture" as well as having an eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and at pace with an engaging approach
  • Strong sense of customer focus, with an approachable attitude to represent the service goals of the team

Ideally you have strong administrative skills, with the emphasis on accuracy rather than speed.

You should have strong communication skills to be able to liaise with other departments/clients in a professional manner at all levels and most important, be an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in the work.


It should be noted that the above information is not comprehensive and that other responsibilities or duties that are considered to fall within the remit of the Master Data Management team will arise from time to time.
