The person appointed will be an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards and provision for pupils with SEND.


Astrea Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional
SEND Officer who will work to support the Head of SEND and Therapeutic Services, as well as other central colleagues, in securing the continued improvement of SEND practices across the Trust and to provide vital support to schools in relation to day-to-day SEND support, including the completion of SEND screening tools, where appropriate.


The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of the everyday practicalities and challenges of SEND, as well as experience of supporting SENCOs in the development of SEND Support Plans and in gathering evidence for statutory assessment requests, as well in relation to formal access arrangements.

The successful applicant will also have experience of working with Local Authorities and other stakeholders at an operational level.


This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional practitioner to join the Astrea Therapeutic team and to work with colleagues committed to improving the outcomes of pupils with SEND.

£34,125.00 per year
