An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Health and Intelligence Department as a Senior Project Support Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person to join this this Team on a part-time basis.

Initially this role will be liaising with Cardiff & Vale Flying Start to deliver a co-ordinated service between Flying Start and the DHI department.

We are looking for a professional, hardworking, team player. This is an excellent opportunity for person with interpersonal and organisational skills to work as part of this team.


We need someone who is reliable, organised and an excellent communicator who can work on their own initiative and prioritize a busy workload.


  • Minute taking and organising/chairing meetings
  • Coordinate between Flying Start staff to deliver a service liaising with developers and Cardiff and Vale staff
  • Welsh Government Update/maintain/schedule report requirements for Flying Start
  • Updating clinical system and write guides/bulletins for any changes/additions.
  • Recording/Monitoring changes requests from Flying Start service.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure documents


This post will require you to work as part of a team and will require you to have strong IT skills and be confident in undertaking a range of computer-based activities.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Communicate complex business sensitive information and issues related to the project.
  • Act as the focal point for communications for the programme.
  • Monitor the progress of a range of work streams quantifying gaps in resources, identifying risks to delivery.
  • Evaluate and assess project performance.
  • Plans and delivers specific elements of the project.
  • Use project control methods for planning, scheduling and tracking of project tasks.
  • Provides administrative support and technical to Programme/Project Manage
