Senior Category Leader

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Category Leader to join a major infrastructure organisation based in London with a salary up to £84,000 and £6,000 travel allowance and additional bonus.

This excellent new role has been created thanks to increasing businessgrowth and project requirements across various complex and large spend areas.

The Senior Category Leader oversees the sourcing, procurement, implementation, and post-contract management of operational categories. There are many great opportunities for developmentand progression within this company over the next few years.

Responsibilities of the Senior Category Leader:

Manage the development and delivery of procurement strategies across operational categories.
Manage robust contract and supplier management processes to realise maximum benefit from the sourcing activities.
Collaborate and develop close relationships with relevant senior business stakeholders.
Support the management of procurement team performance through coaching and line management of a small team.

Person Specification of the Senior Category Leader:

Previous proven experience in a senior-level procurement position, ideally including team management of other procurement professionals.
Strong evidence of continuous professional development.
Extensive experience in a variety of procurement and contracting models.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to projects.

Salary:

Up to £84,000 + £6,000 travel allowance + bonus

This role will be ideal for you if you have previous experience within purchasing and procurement as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Head of Procurement, or similar.
