Description
You will provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the
Perinatal Service and will be expected to have a flexible and adaptable
approach to work.

You will be able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines in order to meet the requirements of the service.

Good written and interpersonal skills are essential. You will be required to utilise a personal computer for word processing and data base management.

You will have daily contact with a wide range of staff at all levels and
regular contact with service users and their carers.

  • You will provide comprehensive administrative support to professionals within the multidisciplinary team including the Consultant Psychiatrist and FY
  • You will provide confidential and efficient word processing service, including the preparation of letters, reports, tribunal papers etc from a variety of sources including manuscripts, audio etc.
  • Undertake general office duties as required including filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning etc.
  • Log calls with the Trust's Service Desk for any building repairs, works etc.
  • Provide cover for other administrative staff within the service as required.
  • Follow policies relevant to own role.

The Administrator will be responsible for providing a quality secretarial and administrative service working for the community based team. The post holder will show a willingness to assist others and be a key member of the team.


Working within the service can at times be a stressful environment, by way of telephone calls, visitors, meetings and numerous daily urgencies.

The post holder requires the ability to work under pressure, with conflicting demands at times.
