Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Primary School in Stockport, Brinnington area

Key Responsibilities:

Individual Support: Provide one-to-one assistance to the designated child, supporting their academic progress and social development.

Behavior Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the child's needs.

Nurturing Environment: Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help build the child's confidence and self-esteem.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of the child's progress, behaviour, and any interventions implemented.

Previous experience working with children with behaviour challenges is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
