Job description:

This role is a great development opportunity and entry route into the Estates and Facilities Management profession.


As our Equipment Officer and Services Support, you will be responsible for the physical set up of training rooms for internal and external events, across multiple DVLA estates.

You will work closely with colleagues within the wider Accommodation, Services and Health and Safety team to provide support to all services.

You will need to have a flexible approach as this is a fast paced, physically demanding, yet varied role. You will be required to work within the hours of 7am

  • 6pm to suit business requirements.

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • The physical set up of training rooms for internal and external events, working closely with the booking team to ensure customer needs are met. This does involve frequent manual handling.
  • Carry out regular soft audits of the soft and hard facility management services provided by the PFI provider. Record findings and report any failures of service.
  • Provide support to the services team by carrying out ad hoc duties such as replacing safety signs and ensuring hand sanitiser is replenished daily across the estate.
  • Cover the role of receptionist, COVID administration including helping staff register on , contacting managers to arrange tests when needed, monitor the cases across the agency using the relevant data and Health and Safety administration duties when required.
  • Monitor the concept work order system to ensure faults raised are accurately recorded in accordance with PFI descriptors and SLAs.

Please note, you will be required to complete manual handling training, if not already held.

You are an effective communicator and a great teammate who can engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You will be required to work across multiple sites so a full valid UK driving licence is essential.
