Description

Biffa is looking for a HWRC Operative to assist the public at our Rutherglen Household waste centre with recycling and waste.

Working with the public to maximise recycling on sites.
Manual handling items on site assisting the public with various waste and recycling.
Helping to ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times.
Be proactive in promoting and maintaining a safe and friendly working environment.

Requirements:

Experience in dealing with the general public.

Good people skills.

Experience in the waste industry helpful but not essential.

Will be required to work weekends.

Essential

Must have a full UK driving license

Must have own transport

Shifts and Hours available:
Shift - 4 on 4 off

Winter hours - 7:45am - 5:15pm (9.5 hours)

Summer hours - Mon - Fri - 8:45am - 8:15pm hours

Saturday - 8:45am - 7:15pm hours

Sunday - 8:45am - 6:15pm - 9.5 hours

Shift - 5 over 7 shifted (Fixed)

The 5 over 7 or fixed shift will be Fri - Mon fixed 9 hr days (Summer 09:00 - 18:00, Winter 08:00 - 17:00)
